What is a junk journal?
Firstly, the name junk journal may not sound very attractive but what the 'junk' is actually referring to is using, for example, junk mail amongst other things such as flyers, old wallpaper etc to create your journal.
It is down to the creator to decide on theme, colour scheme and all other details. Junk journals are a personal work of art.
The book covers can be made from cereal boxes, old book covers or any hard card boards.
The pages and content is made up of recycled items such as paper from magazines, brochures, patterned paper, music sheets, envelopes, packaging, paper bags, maps, greeting cards, post cards and doilies, there is no end to what paper product can be used.
A junk journal can be used as a collage book, memory keeping, a journal to write in or a scrap book for collections etc.
For some making the journal is the art and these journals are never used.
